This Privacy Policy outlines how Webskitters Technology Solutions Pvt. Ltd. ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you install or use the Skitter AI Search & Filter - AI search, smart filters, and product recommendations (the "App") on your Shopify store.

Skitter AI Search & Filter is designed to help merchants improve product discovery on their Shopify store through storefront search, smart filters, product listing controls, recommendation widgets, visual search, voice search, merchandising rules, analytics, and optional AI-powered search intelligence. The App helps merchants configure how customers search, filter, sort, and discover products across search pages, collection pages, product pages, cart pages, and other storefront areas.

The App processes store, catalog, storefront interaction, and order-related data only as needed to provide its features. This may include product data, collection data, vendor data, product type data, pricing data, inventory status, storefront search queries, filter selections, recommendation interactions, visual search inputs, voice search transcripts, app settings, and limited order data used to measure recommendation conversions and analytics.

The App does not automatically make major store changes such as editing products, changing prices, creating discounts, modifying themes, publishing campaigns, or changing merchandising rules without merchant action or approval.

By installing or using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

When you install the App, we may access the following information from your Shopify account:

• Shop Information

  • Store URL
  • Shopify domain
  • Product and collection data
  • Product vendor, product type, tag, variant, pricing, image, and inventory data
  • Theme, app embed, app block, metafield, and metaobject data required for storefront functionality
  • Order data required to measure recommendation conversions and analytics
• Storefront Search and Interaction Data
  • Search queries entered by storefront visitors
  • Search result counts, clicked products, and selected products
  • Filter selections, sorting selections, and collection browsing activity
  • Recommendation impressions, clicks, and attributed conversion events
  • Visual search inputs when a visitor uses image-based search
  • Voice search transcripts when a visitor uses voice search
  • Device type, browser user agent, and referrer data used for analytics and troubleshooting
• App Configuration Data
  • Search settings, synonyms, redirects, and ranking rules
  • Filter sets, filter options, display settings, and assignment rules
  • Product listing layout, product card, and sorting settings
  • Recommendation widget settings, placement rules, and priority settings
  • AI merchandising rules, visual search settings, voice search settings, and international settings
  • Analytics, insights, reports, and app preferences generated through the App

We do not collect payment card information. We only collect personally identifiable information when it is necessary to operate App features, provide support, measure recommendation conversions, or respond to Shopify privacy compliance requests.

3. How We Use Your Information

The data collected is used to:

• Index product and collection data for storefront search, filters, sorting, and recommendations.
• Display instant search results, product previews, collection suggestions, and brand suggestions.
• Support search features such as typo tolerance, synonyms, redirects, fuzzy search, keyword stemming, and multi-language search.
• Create and manage storefront filters such as price, color, size, brand, product type, material, collection, rating, availability, and sale filters.
• Display product listing layouts, product cards, quick add buttons, variant swatches, and sorting options on storefront pages.
• Show recommendation widgets such as related products, frequently bought together, recently viewed, best sellers, trending products, personalized picks, new arrivals, on sale, and top rated products.
• Measure recommendation impressions, clicks, and attributed conversions using limited order-related data.
• Apply merchandising rules such as pin, demote, hide, and product ranking adjustments when configured by the merchant.
• Support visual search, voice search, international settings, market-aware price filtering, and storefront analytics.
• Generate dashboards, search insights, product discovery reports, recommendation analytics, and optional AI-powered suggestions based on the merchant’s selected plan.

Additionally, information may be used for:

• Troubleshooting, support, and app improvement.
• Monitoring app performance and resolving technical issues.
• Enforcing plan limits and feature access.
• Compliance with Shopify requirements and applicable legal obligations.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal, customer, or store information. We may disclose your information:

• To Shopify as required by Shopify platform policies, app review, billing, webhook, and privacy compliance processes
• To trusted service providers that help us host, maintain, monitor, support, or improve the App, under confidentiality and data protection obligations
• To AI or infrastructure service providers only when required to provide enabled App features such as AI-powered search, recommendations, visual search, voice search, or analytics
• When required by applicable law, subpoena, court order, government request, or legal process
• When necessary to protect the rights, security, or integrity of merchants, customers, Shopify, our company, or the App

5. Data Retention

We retain your data as long as the App is installed. Upon uninstallation, we delete all store-related data within 30 days, unless legally required to retain it.
