Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Webskitters Technology Solutions Pvt. Ltd. collects, uses, stores, and protects information when merchants install or use the OrderPulse Shopify app.
1. Overview
OrderPulse helps Shopify merchants collect structured feedback from customers after an order is placed or fulfilled. Merchants can create survey campaigns, choose email templates, build customer feedback forms, send survey invitations, review customer responses, and analyze product-level feedback.
The App is designed for order-based feedback collection. Customer information is used only where it is necessary to send the survey invitation, connect feedback to the correct order or product, and show useful insights to the merchant.
By installing or using OrderPulse, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
When a merchant installs or uses the App, we may collect or process the following information:
Store and Merchant Information
- Shop name, Shopify domain, store URL, and app installation/session information.
- App settings, sender identity, notification preferences, selected plan, and billing status.
- Survey campaigns, email templates, customer feedback forms, and configuration choices created by the merchant.
Order and Product Information
- Order ID, order name, order date, order status or trigger event, and related order metadata required for surveys.
- Product IDs, product titles, variant titles, quantities, product images, and product URLs when available.
- Email delivery queue records, send status, scheduled send time, and campaign performance counts.
Customer Information
- Customer name and email address where required to send post-purchase survey invitations.
- Customer survey responses, ratings, selected options, written comments, uploaded feedback data if enabled, and product-level comments.
- Response metadata such as submission date, related order, related products, and sentiment classification.
Support Information
- Information submitted through the App support form, such as name, email, subject, priority, and message.
We do not collect customer payment card details. Shopify billing is handled through Shopify's billing systems.
3. How We Use Information
We use collected information to provide and improve the App, including to:
- Authenticate merchants and operate the embedded Shopify app experience.
- Create, manage, and display survey campaigns, email templates, and customer feedback forms.
- Send survey invitation emails based on merchant-selected timing rules.
- Connect customer responses to the related order and products.
- Display customer responses, product insights, sentiment summaries, ratings, trends, and analytics.
- Show the customer account review button through supported Shopify extensions.
- Enforce plan limits such as monthly email counts, response visibility, survey campaign limits, and template/form limits.
- Send merchant admin notifications when customers submit feedback, if enabled by the merchant.
- Provide support, troubleshoot issues, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations.
OrderPulse does not use customer data for unrelated advertising, resale, or third-party marketing.
4. Legal Basis and Merchant Responsibility
Merchants are responsible for ensuring that their use of OrderPulse complies with applicable privacy, email, marketing, and consumer protection laws. Merchants should disclose their use of feedback tools and customer communication practices in their own privacy policy where required.
We process information as a service provider or processor for merchants, and we limit our processing to the App functionality described in this policy and the merchant's configuration.
5. Email Communications
OrderPulse may send survey invitation emails to customers after order-related events based on merchant campaign settings. Merchants control the campaign status, template, customer form, trigger type, and delay.
The App may also send notification emails to the merchant when a customer submits feedback, if the merchant has enabled admin notifications and configured a notification email address.
6. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade merchant or customer information. We may share information only:
- With Shopify, where required to operate the App and comply with Shopify platform requirements.
- With trusted service providers that help us host, store, process, email, monitor, or support the App, under confidentiality obligations.
- When required by law, legal process, government request, or to protect our legal rights.
- With the merchant who owns the Shopify store where the feedback was submitted.
7. Data Retention
We retain store, campaign, template, form, delivery, and response data while the App remains installed, unless a shorter retention period is required by law or requested by the merchant.
After the App is uninstalled, we will delete or anonymize store-related data within 30 days, unless we are legally required to retain certain records for billing, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or compliance.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect data, including:
- HTTPS encryption for data in transit.
- Secure Shopify OAuth authentication.
- Access controls for systems that process merchant or customer data.
- Database and application-level safeguards to separate store data by Shopify shop domain.
- Operational monitoring and incident response practices.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect information using commercially reasonable measures.
9. Data Location and International Transfers
Information may be processed and stored in India and other locations where our hosting providers, infrastructure providers, or service providers operate. By using the App, merchants acknowledge that data may be transferred to these locations as needed to provide the App.
10. Customer and Merchant Rights
Depending on applicable law, merchants and customers may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete personal information. Customers should contact the merchant directly for requests related to their order or feedback data. Merchants may contact us for App-related data requests.

11. Children's Privacy
OrderPulse is intended for Shopify merchants and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes means the merchant accepts the updated policy.
